While I was studying Fine Art I was told that the "real art" is not about feelings or emotions. For very long time I felt like I had nothing to say, nothing to present, because I was not interested in talking about world's problems. And I think I got to the point where I have finally understood that we must be what we are. And what am I? I am a vessel. Just a vessel :) When I paint I feel that there is some kind of energy, spirit that makes me paint what I paint. And I never know how my pictures will look like, I have no control over the pictures. The picture "paints" itself and I am just present while it is happening.
In a way it gives such relief - I don't need to be talented to do what I do, I just have to open up myself to this mystery of creation process. And definitely it is all about emotions; my emotions, emotions that I am surrounded with. "To feel" means we are alive and live is adventure, sometimes painful but sometimes we are blessed with touching real beauty... it could be beauty of the physical body or beauty of the soul, sometimes beauty despite ugliness, despite fear or pain, but yes....definitely "beauty" is important in my work.
