Janine Roux

Originally from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, I obtained a National Higher Diploma in Fine Art Painting with a dissertation on Eroticism in Art, and then went on to study at the Cooper Union in New York in the late nineteen eighties. I have spent most of my career involved in specialist decorating and mural work, out of which my own work has gradually grown. I am fond of botanical subject matter, but also portraiture and pet portraiture. I have painted between thirty and forty butterflies. I have experimented with abstraction.
