Susan Buswell

I was born and raised in Leicester before moving to North Wales in 1988.
I am inspired by Camille Pissarro and L.S. Lowry.
My work is concerned with the realities of the world in which we live. People are clouded by the demands of modern day life. The disappearance of social interaction leads to the lack of sensations we were created to have, thus missing a life full of various colours, textures and unexpected patterns.
My preferred medium is acrylic. The properties of acrylic paint allow thick applications; the paints can also be thinned to create transparent glazes. Acrylics are quick-drying and are not reliant on toxic solvents.
