Wolfgang Widmoser

I paint as one who listens to silence. In the stillness of my work, a light lingers - soft, precise, almost sacred - something I have always felt in the presence of Johannes Vermeer. It allows me to reveal quiet worlds within what seems ordinary.

At the same time my paintings carry a symbolic depth influenced by Ernst Fuchs where forms are never just forms, but vessels of memory and inner vision.

There is also a dreamlike shift in my spaces, a subtle transformation of reality that resonates with Salvador Dali - where meaning moves beyond Logic and opens into poetry.

And beneath all of this I seek a certain dignity of presence, something I admire in Diego Velazquez, where the act of seeing itself becomes the subject.

My work is not only meant to be seen, but to be entered - a field of harmony where the visible and the invisible meet.
