Anthony Astarita’s paintings speak through energy, joy, and expressive mark-making. His work explores the tension between grit and sweetness — balancing layers of graffiti-like strokes, bold colors, and textured surfaces that echo lived experience and a relentless commitment to creativity. Whether creating on canvas or wood panel, Astarita builds each piece with stamina, humor, and a deep belief in the power of art to uplift and connect.

He works in themed series, with select pieces contributing a portion of proceeds to support children living in homeless shelters.

Collectors are drawn to the honesty of his work — immediate, alive, and full of motion — and to the way his paintings make a space feel more human.

Over the past 30 years, Anthony Astarita has participated in numerous workshops and an intensives to deepen his craft, including time spent learning under the guidance of respected artist Nicholas Wilton and Grady Kinsey. Their influence helped shape his instinctive approach to color composition and emotional storytelling through paint.

Over the past several years, Anthony Astarita has participated in both indoor and outdoor exhibitions, including the Lake Mary Art Festival, group show at Mills Gallery 2024, the Winn- Win emerging artist exhibition. He was also featured in a Duo Solo Exhibition titled Rags to Riches in 2025.
