Sanjukta Acharya

I am a contemporary realist painter based in California, creating oil and watercolor works that celebrate the quiet poetry of everyday life. Whether I’m painting wildlife, florals, landscapes, or still‑life moments, I approach each piece as a story waiting to unfold. Color is my language, emotion my compass, and light my most trusted guide.

Originally trained in Applied Art and shaped by a successful advertising career in India, I rediscovered my devotion to fine art after moving to the United States. Teaching myself the nuances of oil and watercolor became both a discipline and a meditation—an ongoing journey of curiosity, gratitude, and wonder.

My work has been featured in curated Saatchi Art collections, exhibited widely, and recognized in local and international juried competitions. Today, my paintings live in private collections across the U.S., Canada, and Singapore, carrying with them my belief in celebrating life in all its glory.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Marketing, as well as a degree in Applied Art from Academy of Fine Arts, Calcutta, India.
