Photography has formed a major part of my life since I was first introduced to the magic of the darkroom at school in the 1980's. Over the year and now at the age of 51, I have seen the transition of photography from film and the darkroom and I have embraced the change to digital formats and computer aided development.
However, it is my belief that photography is still primarily all about the image rather than the process.

It is my intention that my photographs go beyond the composition and aesthetic but have deeper emotional and philosophical meaning. Some will have sensory impacts such as warmth, cold, sounds movement, some will aid thought and contemplation at a spiritual level, whilst others intend to ask questions and challenge our perceptions of reality.

I current live in a small town in Yorkshire, England providing a rural, and urban environment in which to gain photographic stimulus. The other sources for my photography are from my travels across the globe in Europe, Asia and Africa.
