The paintings on this page are the manifestations of conscious and unconscious techniques repeated in multiple layers throughout different states of mind. The end result is a complete interconnectivity of brushwork and Symbolism in harmony together and balanced in all 4 corners.

Zavin derives influence from the city glow, street art and compact urban intermingling. Inspired by the automatic drawing technique, Zavin creates in a style of painting that remains abstract but dances on the edge of suggestion. It asks the viewer to participate in a form of cloud watching or free association.

By thoroughly attacking specific areas of the painting with brush and airbrush applications. Zavin is able to bring density and provides lush overgrowth to the empty regions of the canvas. This repeated process builds a rainforest of fractured imagery for the viewer to get lost in. Barely legible bubble letters, alien landscapes and Saturday morning cartoon characters all smashed together for a Where's Waldo style of visual stimulation.

Interdimensional camouflage. irregular patterning. Creations of life. Microscopic ecosystems. The life below wormholes.
