Kim Straehler

For as long as I can remember, I have always had an affinity with the arts. During early childhood, my drawing skills began to develop, later, progressed to painting. Like many artists, I find it easier to express the beauty I see around me with brush and pencil, rather than words. For a while now, I have been painting nature as I see it in its best. I am found of storms and the light that emerges right after. But it’s been more about an emotion. Lately, I have been very affected about human impact on it and its consequences, such as pollution and destruction. I was willing to paint raw nature empty of anything superficial.
