Painter.
I’ve been fulfilling myself as a painter for decades as I think that only indifferent man makes no attempts to reproduce this beautiful world. Fine art helps to some extent to get closer to a spiritual world.
My work includes stained-glass windows, cold encaustic wall painting and painted reliefs. My author’s style combining a realism that covers the surrounding reality, post impressionism, expressionism with revealing of main natural forms, decorativism and monumentalism, art nouveau smoothness, and dreaminess of romanticism.
Many works represent several themes or picture elements. Beautiful, coloristic Ukrainian nature expresses our people’s mentality, love for the beautiful and harmonious, and of course, a rein to passions and actions.
I love the world around as the nature is wonderful and mysterious at the same time. It may dispose to philosophical meditations, helps to think over the essence of our existence and to see the God in simple things.
By combining paintings and ministry in Saint Sophia Cathedral where I am a senior priest, and communicating with the faithful I assure myself that the entire surrounding, starting from a man, ant, the most tender stem, everything is the God’s creation.
