Harald Gsaller

Harald Gsaller is an Austrian contemporary artist and writer.
Artist's Statement:
Gsaller’s practice encompasses the use of digital drawing/graphics, photography, video, and text-and-image-emblems. – The artist draws from the heritage of (Western) philosophy, rhetoric, science and art, as well as Chinese Taoist philosophy and visual culture. Gsaller has built two brands: “Something Open” and "TAOartVienna". – Within this framework he transforms the materials of his research into images and lecture performances.

Harald Gsaller, born in 1960 in Lienz/The Tyrol (Austria). Graduated in chemistry and physics at Johannes Kepler-University in Linz (Mag.rer.nat.) in 1983 he lives and works currently in VIENNA.
Gsaller is a member of the writers’ association Grazer Autorinnen Autorenversammlung and of the artists’ association MAERZ.
