I'm Alessandra Miranda, a Brazilian-Portuguese fine art photographer based in Portugal, and the artist behind Leka – Mindful Fine Art Photography

I've always believed that beauty has the power to change how we feel. A quiet landscape, the gentle rhythm of the sea, or the softness of morning light can offer us something we often forget to give ourselves; a moment to pause.

This belief has shaped both my life and my work.

Today, my photography is devoted almost entirely to nature. Rather than simply documenting beautiful places, I seek to create photographs that bring a sense of calm, presence, and quiet reflection into the spaces where they live.

My artistic practice combines fine art photography with research in neuroscience, environmental psychology, mindfulness, and energy traditions, exploring how visual experiences can gently influence our emotions and well-being. Every piece is created with intention; from the moment I capture the image in nature to the final print.

I hold degrees in Arts & Humanities and Film Production, and have continued my studies through programs such as Yale University's *The Science of Well-Being* and Duke University's *Visual Perception and the Brain*. These experiences co...
