Anthony Sims

Anthony Sims (b. 1998, Mississippi) is an American contemporary artist whose practice spans painting, digital media, and blockchain-based provenance systems. Working across physical and digital mediums, Sims explores identity, memory, technology, and abstraction through a visual language that merges expressive figuration with systems thinking.

Raised in North Mississippi, Sims began exhibiting while still a teenager, first showing work through the Memphis arts community before expanding nationally and internationally. By age 21, two of his works had entered the permanent collection of the Meridian Museum of Art, making him one of the youngest artists represented in the institution's collection.

Sims' work has been exhibited in cities including Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Florence, and Barcelona. His practice has evolved alongside a parallel career in industrial automation engineering, where he designs and maintains large-scale logistics systems. This dual background deeply informs his artistic approach: viewing both art and engineering as methods of understanding and reshaping complex systems.
