I've always had a keen interest in art. I actually started portrait painting seriously after playing minecraft with my kids. I made a portrait of Katniss in minecraft and thought I could transfer this to the canvas. My first was a John Lennon monochrome painting. As most artists do I started painting family members and gave them away to them. This snowballed with various commissions soon followed this.

I have a GCSE in pottery of all things as I sidestepped art at school. I was very linear in the type of art I enjoyed. Back then it was pop art or surrealism or nothing. My bedroom was plastered with images painted by Rene Magritte.
