Hello, my name is Noah Baxter. I love to paint and commissions are currently OPEN. I get a kind of meditation from painting that makes the frenzy of living in Los Angeles fade away for a while. I have been a professional tattoo artist for 19 years and went back to school a few years back to develop my fine art skills and learn some art history. I do a wide variety of styles with different media but I most prefer watercolor and oil. I feel I can work them in a similar way. Recently I have begun doing what I like to call moodscapes. The idea is to close your eyes, still your mind and then open your eyes and "feel" the painting. I feel that's how they are best received. Every one will see and feel them a little different. Like a much richer and more colorful Rorschach test. I really enjoy all of my pieces once they are done and I hope you do as well.
I am a bit of a gypsy as far as art school is concerned. I have been out of school since I got my equivalency at 16. I immediately sought to find my self as it were and went to several colleges trying to improve as an artist. I have taken classes at UNLV, UCLA, Los Angeles Valley College and a beautiful little private art school they tore down called Associates In Art. I am proficient in life drawing, sculpture, 3D design, animation, oil painting, watercolor and digital art, both vector and bitmap. I also am skilled in tattoo styles, including but not limited to black and gray, color bomb, old school sailor and new school tattoo designs. If you can think it up I can draw, paint or tattoo it.
