Sarah Weedon

After a long career in design working as an Art Director for Artists and Illustrators magazine I returned to my love of painting and studied at the School of Landscape Painting under Christopher Baker.

Preferring to be a part of the landscape, I paint directly ‘en plein air’ as well drawing and sketching in oils. Immersed and working from source in all weathers, it is natures raw presence and my own personal experience within it that helps me define the ‘place’. I often
revisit the same spot and work onsite along the Sussex coast visiting in all seasons to experience the change in qualities of light, colour and sound.

There is always something that reveals the energy 
of the place no matter what nature offers there is a commitment to the emotional force with the intention to just simply react, distill and interpret.
