Marion Harrichhausen-Lukas

Marion Harrichhausen-Lukas, born 1st June 1960 in Siegen, Germany, is a self-taught artist. Since 2004, she has been painting mostly with acrylic paints, but also with pastels and oil pastels. She also uses materials which can be found in nature or are part of day-to-day life (such as mull bandages, coffee grounds, spices, onion peels, shells, leaves, band aids, sugar and others).Art has always been Marion Harrichhausen-Lukas main focus. Her own career as an artist started with art therapy. Ever since, expressing herself creatively has become an important element in developing her own perception of life as a physical and emotional being. When painting, Marion Harrichhausen-Lukas experiences a form of liberation. To her it means getting to know her innermost essence and constantly rediscovering her own personality. Her paintings are full of power, sensitivity and joy of life. The variety of the materials she uses, and the colours and compositions she chooses for her works reflect the multifacetedness of her own life experience.
