My work is experiential and socially engaged, organized in series that function as chapters of a single story. Identity, memory, and the dissection of social paradigms are translated into objects, landscapes, and everyday language. I work from lived experience — Cuba and the diaspora — but I want each piece to operate beyond the autobiographical: as a device for observing social mechanisms, paradigms, and ideological contradictions of my time. My training spans eight years — three in traditional academic foundations and five dedicated to art history, visual communication, and the theoretical structure of artistic discourse. My references are Warhol, Kruger, Holzer, Haacke, Los Carpinteros, and José Ángel Toirac. I choose the medium according to the idea. The tone shifts: sometimes ironic as in Nothing Personal, sometimes poetic as in Mogotes, sometimes Pop as in Made in Cuba. That oscillation is not dispersion — it is method.
