Susannah Weiland

Susannah Weiland is a London-based artist working in hand embroidery and graphite drawing. Her practice moves between close observation of the natural world — wildlife, landscape, the surface of water — and larger, more abstract explorations of rhythm, flow and movement.

In 2021 she was awarded a QEST Scholarship to study at the Royal School of Needlework, holding a Certificate in Technical Hand Embroidery. In 2026 she received an Arts Council England Project Grant to undertake a three-month intensive at the Royal Drawing School.

Work sold at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2021. Winner, Chiswick House and Gardens Wildlife Art Competition 2025. Richmond Art Prize finalist 2025. Selected for the Homo Faber Guide. Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
