Tiko Bakhtadze

My paintings are created impulsively - shapes do not fall under logical
sequence and they become a hybrid of real and unreal. Such spontaneity
enables me to follow my inner instincts and create color, line and
movement based on emotion.
These shapes for me are psychological architecture - construction of the
inner landscape, which combines emotion, color and idea. They embody
organic simplicity as well as symbolic depth.
I am not trying to mimic reality. My goal is to transform invisible shapes
into visible ones and create a space where the viewer experiences their
own emotions and interpretations.
“I paint instinctively, without any prior planning. shapes and lines are
created unconsciously, I just give them color and direction so that the
paintings have their own language”.
