My name is Michael and I started my career as an artist at the age of fifteen and I have developed different techniques over the years. I work mainly with alabaster statues, spray cans and markers, creating colorful and contrasting works of art - not only visually, but also in meaning.
Ancient Greece is known to this day as a culture that developed many innovations, new ways of thinking and rules of culture and art, which we recognize in Greek sculptures. These sculptures depicted gods from Greek mythology, depicting the beauty models of the time.
Whether it is painting or sculpture, I take these wonderful examples of Greek beauty rules and add a touch of our modern culture. Using sprays and markers, I cover the ancient deities with symbols, signs and labels that reflect today's cultural "obsessions" - things that 21st century culture thinks and dreams about.
His way of expressing depicts the decline of our world, and by transforming the statues of ancient Greece into a new art, he clearly shows the lack of order in the new world.
As an artist I live in Thessaloniki Greece.
