Kerry Royle

I am a contemporary, Canadian, visual artist living and working in the heart of London. I currently feature my work at Debut Contemporary in Notting Hill and have exhibited my work in both London and Toronto galleries.

My current work mixes pencil, ink, watercolour and acrylic on paper but I also paint on canvas and stone carve. I use an eclectic array of mediums to express an organic quality within my work which embody the natural rhythms and movements of the world.

I am very passionate about travelling and through my work I illustrate these places and moments I experience. I include personal narratives through the use of symbolism and calligraphy in black ink as well as referening the botany, horticulture and environmental concerns specific to the location, or the history, architecture and cultural influences they may have.
