The Japanese call it wabi-sabi: an aesthetic sensibility that finds beauty in the "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete." It is what has always been the catalyst for James Doiron as an artist, exploring the ineffable beauty of erosion and degradation imprinted upon the artifacts and surfaces of our environment by the raw force of time and nature.
