I am a seventy three year young at heart retiree civil servant. I have been an ardent observer of the changes that have been taking place in mankind’s exploitative approach to nature and natural resources in the context of social development. I have recorded such attitudinal changes through the medium of still photography spanning over forty eventful years.
My wife Gouri, son Soumya, his wife Indrani, my only 17 month old grandchild Ishaan and I are engaged in running a Wilderness Eco-stay () on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, touching a 189 km sq Wildlife Sanctuary.
Most of my artworks have been 'discovered' within svanir's premises.
Hope you will visit us as soon as travel restrictions and post Covid-19 safety issues permit. Please read my Blogs at and Soumya and Indrani's posts in Instagram, Facebook..
I have a collection of nearly a million photos and I am still adding to it. My entry into Saatchi Art will, hopefully, enable me to 'virtually' entire your life space, so to say. I am sure I will make many new friends.
I am a Honours graduate in Physics and Laws from the University of Delhi, and a have a Diploma in Social Sciences from University of Wales, Swansea, UK.
I was introduced to nature and wildlife photography while on an expedition to Antarctica in 1986, by a Swedish Expert.
My education in social sciences has taken me to many countries, besides hundreds of remote Indian villages, including in the Himalayas.
One exhibition of some 67 photographs in the National Gallery, New Delhi in 2008.
On the insistance of my children, I have opened an account in Instagram - photo-art related.
