Katrin Albrecht Mountain

I was born in southern Germany, Bavaria. After becoming a professional tailor in Munich I went on to study fashion design in Berlin but soon found out that I needed more freedom to express myself and changed to Fine Art/Sculpture and never looked back since. I studied fine art with lots of amazing teachers at Weissensee Art school Berlin, Ecole des Beaux Arts Paris, Städelschule Frankfurt and Goldsmiths College London.

I like to expand my studio practice through occasional collaborations with other artists and collectives. I also enjoy holding art workshops for students and families.

My work has been shown internationally and is present in several collections like the Collection of the German National Bank, Cusanuswerk Bonn, a private bank at the Temple London, several private collections in Germany and the UK.

I am living at the English south coast in Folkestone, after leaving London a few years ago with my family.
