Ariane Pieper

I grew up in southern Spain where I learnt to love nature, animals and freedom. I travelled for two years through the whole Afican continent by Land Rover, camping in the bush, surrounded most of the time by wild animals. Most of my paintings are inspired by this trip.
I paint in a small wood cabin where vultures fly so close overhead one can hear the rush of air. Tangiers is just across the water and all animals run free here.

I studied at the London School of African and Oriental Studies - archaeology, anthropology and Arabic.
