Daria Borisova

Daria Borisova is an artist based in NYC with a degree in Art and Design. Her artistic vision is shaped by a sensitivity to nature, an interest in harmonious combinations, rich textures, subtle nuances, and the interplay of light and shadow.
Her practice explores states of being, fleeting moments, and natural phenomena that create atmosphere and evoke inner feelings that feel quietly familiar. She is inspired by the therapeutic potential of art, inviting viewers into spaces of resonance, reflection, and quiet healing through color, form, and movement.
Working primarily with acrylic paint, Daria creates her compositions through layered structures and tactile surfaces. She combines multi-layering techniques with expressive impasto brushstrokes, often softened by fluid, watercolor-like passages, creating a dialogue between stillness and spontaneity. The contrast of textures plays an essential role in shaping the emotional rhythm of her work.
Daria has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including the Affordable Art Fair, The Other Art Fair, Superfine, Boomer Gallery, Van Der Plas Gallery, CCAN, Jones Gallery, and others.
