My interest lies within the realms of colour, culture, travel and tourism and the role of the hand made in society. Travelling is a great inspiration as I find it fascinating to see how cultures differ in colour and character and attitude.

My practice has revolved around an investigation into the impact of colour on the individual and exploration into the possible ways of expressing my findings through formal works of art. I am allured by the physicality and pigmentation of paint. Photography also plays a significant role in my practice as I firstly document colour in the world around me; colourful, beautiful,handmade objects and unexpected moments on camera as well as investigating the concept of 'the original',the role of photography and the handmade within society. I have also used it to select macro details from my abstract paintings to develop my investigation into "˜the original' in my work.

I am presently in my third year of studying a BA in Fine Art Painting at Bath Spa University, England.
