Philippa Langrish

I am from (London) UK and work as an artist and writer in France. I am represented in France by Chalet Art Store.
Before arriving in France I lived in Miami and then the Philippines for five years where I staged a solo exhibition of portraits at LRI Design Centre and the Pineapple Lab as well as exhibiting at the Cultural Centre of the Philippines and Shangri-la (Makati). I founded Tableaux Arts in 2016 which creates bespoke artwork for homes and businesses.
I was selected as a street artist by Bonifacio Arts Foundation to create a mural in Bonifacio Global City which was completed in May 2016. I have created a mural in the public space at Alliance Francaise Manille and was part of the international street art project Meeting of Styles in Quezon City this year. I am a member of the Printmakers of the Philippines Association. My work has also been featured in Latest Magazine, Elle Decoration and on the Peoples Television Network (Philippines).

I am regularly commissioned to create personalised pieces of art. My work is featured in houses around the world from San Francisco, Hawaii, Sri Lanka and Washington D.C, to Sydney, Martinique, Paris, London, Miami, Brisbane, Egypt and across the Philippines.

I studied art at college and began selling my work at 18. I continued taking life drawing and portrait classes in my 20's. In my 30's I studied print-making in Manila (Philippines) for the 5 years I lived there. I have a B.A in English Literature from Sussex University and an MA in Theatre from the Central School of Speech and Drama. I worked briefly for an art restoration company before working for different art centres and arts festivals in the UK. In 2010 I moved to France and set up an Atelier in the Alps for three years. Following this I moved to the Philippines and studied Print Making with the Print Makers Association of the Philippines. I staged several exhibitions both group and solo, notably with the Cultural Centre of the Philippines. I have also exhibited in London and Miami. I have been featured in Elle Decoration, Latest Magazine, Philippine Enquirer and Kingston Informer.
