Magdalena Wozniak

Magdalena's artistic journey is deeply rooted in the rich traditions of historical painting, where she draws inspiration from the techniques and styles of the past. By blending these classical elements with her modern photographic approach, she creates a unique visual narrative that transcends time. Her latest project, which focuses on the intricate and passionate dance of tango, is a testament to her innovative spirit. In this work, she explores the ephemeral nature of dance, capturing fleeting moments that are invisible to the naked eye. Each photograph is a carefully composed fragment of movement, a snapshot of time that invites the viewer to imagine the unseen dance that continues beyond the frame. Magdalena Wozniak is a Polish Australian with over 25 years experience in photography. Born in Warsaw in 1976, Magdalena completed a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences degree at the University of Western Sydney and RMIT and went on to the Kingston University of London to further her training in photography. Magdalena returned to Sydney study Art History and Theory at the University of Sydney. She lives and works in Sydney.
