Louise Fago-Ruskin is an artist and living and working in the United Kingdom. Louise's practice stems from an abiding interest in the rich arena of psychological and philosophical and theological disciplines. Taking the form of the contemporary confessional box, attempts are made to confront particular perplexities held within firm ideological belief systems and modes of thought-control. Louise's current research seeks to examine notions of the numinous within fine art practices.
Louise's work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally in group shows such as The Hyeres Festival of Fashion and Photography (Hyeres, France), Arles Photography Open Salon(Installation, Arles),Parallax (La Galleria, London) and La Galleria Sakura (Paris). Works have also been nominated for a variety of awards including “Foam- What's Next: A Search into the Future of Photography.”
Louise is currently working on a collaborative project with Tim Andrews whose poignant project 'Over the Hill' worked with over 400 photographers after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.
Louise and holds an MA (distinction) in Photography from the University of Brighton and a First Class Degree in BA Photography from the University of Plymouth.
