Trine Berg Larsen

Hi! My name is Trine Berg Larsen I have been painting and drawing since I was a child. I wanted to become an artist when I was young, but fate wanted something else, so I bacame a medical doctor. I love my work, but I miss painting. The last year I have worked less and that have give me an opportunity to paint more and I love it!
I have had art education in between work and exams.
I am living in Norway, now in the south, but I also have lived many years in the north with my family and spent much time in the west. I am always fascinated by the light in all forms and situations, how it alters the colors, the forms and make us experience the elements/the world so differently.
I get my inspirations from nature, people, interaction between people, from my work, from everyday life and from everything that happens in the world and comes to my knowledge.
I am influenced by Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, Klint, Claude Monet, Paul Gaugin, van Gogh, othernorwegian painters like Ludvig Carsten, Odd Nerdrum and others.
I hope to spend more time painting in the future. Now it has become a necessity for me, almost like eating and I hope you will like my paintings.

I studied medicine at the University of Oslo from 1978 and I graduated there in 1985.
Before I startet studying medicine, I studied psycology at the University of Bergen
and social pedagogy at the University of Oslo.

2023 -2026 I am studying art at Ekely school of art in Oslo in the house next to Edvard Munchs winteratelier.

- I have had private exhibitions through the years

- Exhibition i Moss Norway oktober 2021

- Exhibition in Urbanside Gallry in Zyrich from February until march 2022.

- Participated in Circle arts Spotlight Magazine in sept 2022

- I am going to have an exhibition in FosseArt in Hønefoss Norway in april 2024.
