Rodrigo De Mendoza

I’m an architect and artist from Spain. I studied architecture in Chicago. I won the art Institute of Chicago Schiff award for graduate students while an undergraduate. I have worked in studios in Boston, Spain and Los Angeles for internationally recognized firms.
In 2007 I was in a motorcycle accident, in a coma for a month and on a wheelchair for several moths after that. I was a triathlete before my accident. My left arm is paralyzed from this event. After two years of recovery, one in a wheelchair, I have begun to draw, paint and take photographs again.
I am married and have three boys.
