Wanqing Sheng

Wanqing Sheng was born in 1965 and has been riveted by drawing and painting since childhood. To pursue art, he studied in the Fine Arts Department at Jilin University of Arts in China and graduated with a well-earned B.A degree. He has been a professional oil painter for more than 20 years. Currently he resides in Beijing and is also the General Manager and Artistic Director of his enterprise, Beijing Shengdao Arts Co. Ltd.

Besides people and portraiture, Sheng’s oil paintings mainly use natural scenes as media to convey sensations and feelings through the assimilation of the artist’s subjectivity to the subjects. In either realistic or abstract ways, his adept uses of strokes and colors collide to unveil a beautiful piece of art. Discovering and presenting the beauty are always the ultimate goal.
