John Williamson

I have always worked in a realistic style regardless of media and my subject matter is largely marine and industrial. I am conscious that much of what I paint will not be around for much longer and I feel that much of what I paint is history already.

I graduated from Birmingham Art College specialising in visual communications. After working as a graphic designer at the BBC for the shortest time that I could endure it I moved into art education. This was much more challenging and rewarding.
While working in this area I studied for a Masters Degree in Design at Liverpool School of Architecture. On graduation I continued working in art and design education and enjoyed every minute of it.
