Wojtek Kibler (b. 1984, Poland) is a UK-based Polish artist whose work explores the human condition through the precision of water-based media and printmaking. He earned his MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław in 2010.
His early career was defined by surrealist oil paintings that reinterpreted colonial history-a body of work that was tragically lost in a 2013 studio fire. This event led to an twelve-year hiatus, after which he returned to his practice with a fundamental shift in both medium and focus. Currently, he specialises in portraiture, utilizing the delicate, layered qualities of gouache, watercolour, and lithography to capture evocative human subjects.
