Andrew Mcgibbon

I am a musician and artist from Lurgan in the North Of Ireland. being the singer and guitar player in The Bonnevilles has allowed me to travel the world but it here at home my heart lives.

Growing up in troubles era Lurgan my brother and I played with my cousins in Lough Neagh what seemed like every weekend. We only lived a mile from Castors Bay, my cousins still live there and I live that same mile away to this day with my own family after a lifetime travelling.

Its these shores of Lough Neagh and the surrounding landscape reaching back to the lower foothills of the Mourne mountains that inspire my art today. I write songs in an abstract, stream of consciousness style often not understanding what they are about until years later. I have incorporated that same approach into my art work rarely starting with anything more than a feeling.
