Anunay Rai is an Indian artist whose work explores the body as a shifting emotional and psychological space. Working across drawing, painting, and digital techniques, he creates figurative compositions that blur presence and disappearance.
His works are built through layers of distortion, gesture, and erasure, allowing figures to emerge and dissolve at once. The result is a body of work that feels intimate and unsettled—concerned less with depiction and more with sensation, memory, and trace.
Rai’s practice brings together physical mark-making and digital transformation, producing images that hold both fragility and force. His works invite prolonged looking, offering quiet intensity rather than narrative certainty.
