Estandislau Ferraz

Estandislau Ferraz, born in Recife, Brazil, always saw in his paintings and photographs an instant trip to distant places. "I was enchanted by the photographs of old paintings that I saw in the books on my shelf as a child." I attended medical school and once again I was taken by the old maxim “a picture is worth a thousand words” and, thus, I did a medical residency in Radiology and diagnostic imaging. Active doctor, father and traveler, I started photographing my daughters, landscapes and old cars of friends. I evolved in photography and saw an opportunity to show my work. I started to explore the Fineart market, where I found a niche in which my images could appear, becoming real windows or portals, capable of transposing the viewer to the places I photographed.
