Rushelle Anthony is a Guyanese-American abstract painter based in New York. Her large-scale mixed media work layers paint, text and material to explore identity, femininity, resilience and the cultural memory of the African diaspora. She has exhibited at Miami Art Week, Kente Royal Gallery, and venues across New York and Nashville. Her work begins where concept and emotion meet — simultaneously.
