Irina Zaikina

I am a contemporary artist working primarily with acrylic on canvas.
My work explores perception, inner states, and the silent language of emotion through figurative and abstract forms.

I am particularly drawn to the motif of the eye as a symbol of awareness, memory, and inner vision. Rather than portraying specific individuals, my paintings invite the viewer to recognize their own emotional reflection within the image.

Color, texture, and expressive contrast play a central role in my practice. I work intuitively, allowing layered surfaces and dynamic brushwork to create depth and tension, balancing realism with abstraction.

Each painting is an original, one-of-a-kind work, created as part of a coherent series and intended to exist as a strong visual statement within contemporary interiors.
