EXHIBITIONS
Kyriaki Mavroudi is an artist from Athens, Greece. She studied painting and illustration in Athens School of Fine Arts.
Inspired from mythology and botanical illustrations, medieval engravings and bestiaries, she depicts a hybrid universe. The elements of flora and fauna of this world are used as personal symbols, which are combined into creating intricate and detailed compositions. Through the use of mixed materials which form representations from the remnants of this imaginary world, her work is composed of traditional paintings and drawings with charcoal, inks, watercolors and colored pencils.
