Marzena Jurek

I was born in Poland, growing up immersed in a family of hand-crafters which planted the seeds of my artistry early on. In my early twenties, I moved to Ireland settling in the picturesque village of Ballymore Eustace, co.kildare.
It is here surrounded by nature and the Wicklow Mountains, that I find my inspiration for my artwork.
As a multi-disciplinary artist, I experiment with many different techniques and materials from oils and acrylics to wire and textiles to create unique pieces. I believe in the mantra of Mary Lou Cook which says that 'Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and above all having fun'
