Daria Klimenko

Daria Klimenko is an architect and artist working between Paris and Réunion Island. Her artistic practice draws on over thirteen years of experience spanning both architecture and the visual arts.

She developed her foundation in drawing and sketching at the Moscow Architectural Institute, where rigorous architectural training shaped her keen sense of observation, composition, and spatial perception. Alongside her academic background, she cultivated a distinctive artistic language focused on the rhythms of urban life, capturing movement, details, and the ever-changing dynamics of cities.

After relocating to Réunion Island, her work expanded to embrace the island’s lush natural environment. Inspired by the vibrant colors, organic forms, and abundance of tropical flowers, she began exploring botanical themes alongside her urban subjects. This encounter with tropical nature introduced a new dimension to her practice, bringing greater softness, vitality, and lyricism to her visual language.

Her drawings and paintings are characterized by rich textures, layered surfaces, and a refined pastel palette. Through expressive mark-making and subtle color harmonies, she transforms both cityscapes and floral motifs into poetic visual narrative...
