Kwon Yongbin

Kwon Yongbin explores the quiet tension between light, time, and the human presence that lingers within ordinary landscapes.
Working across seascapes, water studies, and minimal still-life compositions, he approaches photography like a form of listening—observing how light moves, gathers, dissolves, or leaves a trace on the surface of the world.

His recent series investigate the rhythmic structure of water and the subtle emotional spaces found in the everyday. Influenced by music, especially the atmospheric phrasing of jazz, his work shifts between realism and abstraction, revealing moments that feel both familiar and distant.

Across all subjects—sea, people, water, or objects—his practice remains consistent:
to capture the silent intervals where perception slows down and the world briefly aligns with memory, sound, and light.

Based in Seoul, he continues to build a body of work that bridges fine-art photography, contemporary abstraction, and personal narrative.
