Enrica Badas

Bio and Statement
Born and raised in Cagliari, she has always loved drawing and painting. After pursuing a
career as a lawyer, she continued to cultivate her artistic passion, and in 2012, she
decided to make art her primary profession. She has participated in numerous exhibitions
across Italy, experimenting with different techniques and styles, ranging from figurative art
to poetic neo-expressionism. In 2020, she began exploring digital art, using photographs of women as the foundation for her works. Currently, she focuses primarily on three series
—Emotionaltransferlandscape, Emotionalchromagramme, and Emotionalchromagramme The Doors—which experiment with digital intervention and the transformation of images enhanced by subsequent brushstrokes of acrylic and oil paints, aiming to represent
human interiority.
*Emotionaltransferlanscape* and *EmotionalChromagramme*, my process bridges the digital and physical worlds. I begin by creating a digital painting, which is then printed on high-quality cotton canvas. Finally, I breathe life into the piece by painting over it by hand with layers of acrylics and oils, making every single artwork a unique, non-reproducible physical object.

Even as a child she loved drawing and painting, passions that are always alive and that allow her to express her inner world. After studying science and graduating in law, she devoted herself to a career as a lawyer, maintaining a space for her artistic activity, which became increasingly important from 2012 onwards, so much so that in just a few years it became her chosen profession.
