Gloria Dean

Gloria Dean is a lifelong international artist, living and working in Norfolk, UK. Her work has been included in various journals and magazines, and is in private collections worldwide.
Artist's statement :
I like to draw from life, making lightning sketches to capture essence, body language, and mood. This Is the basis of every painting. I am fascinated by the body language of people, and animals.
Life encompasses movement, music, bearing, joy, love, passion, compassion, melancholy and it has been my intention to capture these qualities as I perceive them. My new collection of figurative abstract paintings has technique based strongly on the classical. They evoke a feeling of longing but with a strong positive message of hope and love.
Portal-like forms appear throughout the paintings, often suggesting themes of transition, introspection, and spirituality, inviting viewers to interpret a sense of passage or transformation.
