Paolo Camporota

Sociologist and self-taught painter, Paolo Camporota was born in Catanzaro on 08/07/1972.
A scholar of human behavior and social phenomena, his passion for social research and socio-anthropology transmits it through the language of painting, on a journey to the boundaries between reality and deep states of the human soul.

Paolo Camporota produces very few “unique” works, to which he is emotionally linked, all of a strong immediate impact, but also requires a careful and reflective eye to investigate their depths.

His paintings offer a psychoanalytic slant that lets the observer imagine a story, as if the subjects required the viewer to project a story inspired by the expressive power of the work.
A psycho-dream dimension in which a still image is not limited only to the symbolic dimension, but almost wants to probe the relationship between human passions and the inevitable sociality in which they are experienced.
