C Ricketts

I developed an interest in drawing and painting at a young age. My aunt is a professional artist, and when she’d babysit me as a child, she’d always sit me down to give me instruction with watercolor paints, then later oil paints. I dove back into art in high school because of a fantastic art teacher. After I graduated, I didn’t even draw much, but then in 2021 I started creating again. It felt amazing. I have a personal philosophy that it is important for every human’s spirit to create, whether that be in woodworking, painting, ceramics, making music, 3D printing, writing, sewing, gardening, etc. I believe that a lot of people have lost the drive to create, and it’s not even our fault. Our society is not nurturing to our creative soul. So here is my attempt at nurturing that side of myself. I hope you enjoy :)
