I picked up a paint brush in 2022 to try my hand at acrylic on canvas painting after being inspired by an artist on Saatchi, Peter Nortrott. My subject is often what I see during meditation or feel in my body. Once painting I expanded to oils and began trying to reproduce photos of flowers I've grown or places I've enjoyed traveling to. I met an encaustic artist in Hawaii and began using hot wax because of the texture, depth and movement. Everything in life and art is an experiment.
